p2p – What’s the objective of model area in model messages exchanged throughout establishing a connection?

I believed that the model messages which can be exchanged when establishing a connection between two nodes and the model area inside them point out what every node helps. Every model helps some new characteristic after which, relying on which variations are exchanged in these messages between the nodes, a smaller model of the protocol is used and every node is aware of what it might “ask” different nodes.

Nevertheless, primarily based on this reply and remark:

Protocol model 70014 merely means the sendcmpct command exists, not
that compact blocks are literally supported.

…it appears to me that my assumptions are mistaken.

Subsequently, what’s the objective of the model area within the model message
