A former government assistant to then-New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has filed a lawsuit towards the controversial politician, claiming that he repeatedly harassed and molested her.

In keeping with CBS Information, the lawsuit was filed earlier this week on behalf of plaintiff Brittany Commisso, who began working for Cuomo in 2017. Commisso’s criticism was filed underneath the New York Grownup Survivors Act, which creates a “look-back window” for civil claims involving sexual assault and intercourse abuse.

Cuomo, provides CBS Information, resigned his place at New York governor in August 2021, following a wave of sexual misconduct allegations. He denied, and continues to disclaim, the claims towards him.

Nevertheless, Commisso’s lawsuit features a veritable laundry-list of costs.

“The continual sexual harassment by defendant Cuomo included unwelcome sexual advances, sexualized feedback about look and private issues, relations, their courting, their intercourse life, and her marriage, project of humiliating and demeaning duties, hugs, kisses, sexual touching of the buttocks, and forcible touching of the breast all of which was objectively unreasonable and abusive and fairly perceived by plaintiff as being abusive and an opposed alteration of the situations and phrases of employment she was required to endure to keep up her employment and keep away from opposed modifications within the situation and phrases of employment which, in truth, she later suffered in retaliation for rejecting and reporting the identical,” the lawsuit alleges.

Considerably curiously, the criticism implicates New York’s present governor—Kathy Hochul—who was then serving because the Empire State’s second-in-command.

Attorneys for Commisso say that Hochul, in her erstwhile capability as lieutenant governor, demoted their consumer “from the place of Govt Assistant to the Governor, eliminated her from the Govt Chamber entrance workplace, and assigned her to the demeaning job of answering telephones within the Lieutenant Governor’s workplace till moved to different places of work, together with lack of additional time, ostracism, given little or no work, demotion, and lack of profession alternatives and Development.”

The lawsuit means that Hochul took these steps—presumably upon Cuomo’s request—after Commisso declined the governor’s requests to “date” him.

Rita Glavin, an legal professional for Cuomo, has since stated that the allegations detailed within the declare are “provably false.”

“Ms. Commisso’s claims are provably false, which is why the Albany District Legal professional dismissed the case two years in the past after a radical investigation,” Glavin stated. “Ms. Commisso’s clear try at a money seize will fail.”

“We sit up for seeing her in courtroom,” he added.

Commisso maintains that Cuomo repeatedly engaged in misconduct, together with incidents of molestation or bodily groping in December 2019 and November 2020.

“I do know the reality. He is aware of the reality. I do know what occurred, and so does he,” Commisso stated in a 2021 interview with CBS. “I don’t imagine that there have been 10 employees there that day. I don’t imagine his household was there that day. And if that’s what he has to say to make himself really feel higher, I actually, actually really feel sorry for him.”
